Can a crew member gain access to the flight deck from the cabin when the flight deck door is locked?

Yes, using the keypad located outside the flight deck door. After the access code has been entered, a buzzer will sound in the flight deck for two seconds. The flight crew then move the COCKPIT DOOR selector switch to UNLOCK. The flight deck door is unlocked and a green light on the keypad illuminates.

Are the main cabin doors equipped with escape slides?

Yes.

Can a crew member gain emergency access to the flight deck from the cabin when the flight deck door is locked?

Yes. An emergency access code is entered into the keypad. The buzzer sounds for 45 seconds. The OPEN light flashes. The green light flashes. After 45 seconds the door unlocks for 5 seconds and the green light illuminates steady.
