of course Africa is better than it was 10-15 years ago, and some countries have made great improvements in their own ways and both respectively niger and Nigeria have been successful in particular aspects. but the Africa rising narrative is so simplistic and generic and doesn't truly portray the real situation. the Africa rising narrative has set mediocre standards - as shown that these countries still have a lot to rise from. not to say it wont happen and cant be done, but right now the narrative is creating false statement that something is happening which is not and African countries are all different and diverse and more complex than to just group them all together in two words Africa rising
