How come you have to avoid using your personal Likes and Dislikes when judging whether or not something is a piece of art?
Just because you like doesn't mean someone else should like it.
Aesthetic Experience
Means how does this piece of artwork affect you or make you feel.
Formalism
Means using elements and principles of design as a criterion in art criticism.
Expressiveness
Refers to how effectively the work expresses or reflects a theme or world view.
Composition
Refers to the way that the subject matter, along with lines, shapes, colors, and so forth, has been put together.
Description
When doing this to art, you must include the facts such as the objects, people, shapes, and colors that you and others can see.
