Six Levels Of Bloom's Taxonomy

1. Remembering (lowest level) 2. Understanding 3. Applying 4. Analyzing 5. Evaluating 6. Creating (highest level)

Bloom's Taxonomy

A classification of six levels of intellectual behavior important in learning. They are hierarchical in nature, meaning that students must master the content at each of the lower levels before moving to the next highest level.

~ Which Taxonomy Level? ~ Compare and contrast the two stories.

Analyzing --> Students must analyze each point of view, looking for similarities & differences between the two stories.

~ Which Taxonomy Level? ~ A student needs to find the area of a shape. He begins by finding the parts he already knows & using them to help solve the remaining parts of the problem.

Analyzing --> The student must analyze the shape, determine the measurements for the missing parts, find the complete area, & then subtract the areas of the missing parts.

~ Which Taxonomy Level? ~ A student is asked to find & identify the elements of imagery in a poem used by the author to create the mood.

Analyzing --> The student will need to analyze each sentence, applying their understanding of imagery & mood, in order to analyze parts of the poem.
