Process-
Extension or outgrowth of a bone.
Trochanter-
Large bone projection only on the femur where muscles attach.
Tuberosity-
Large roughened process or projection on a bone for the attachment of muscles.
Condyle-
Large, knoblike, curved surface on a bone.
Fissure-
Narrow, slit-like opening for passage of nerves and/or blood vessels.
Foramen-
Opening or a hole in a bone for the passing of nerves and/or blood vessels.
Crest-
Prominent ridge of a bone
Head-
Rounded articular surface at the end of a bone.
Fossa-
Shallow depression in a bone.
Spine-
Sharp slender process or extension of a bone.
Tubercle-
Small roughened process or projection on a bone.
