The Relationship Between Bullying and Suicide
Although kids who are bullied are at risk of suicide, bullying alone is not the cause. Many issues contribute to suicide risk, including depression, problems at home, and trauma history. Additionally, specific groups have an increased risk of suicide, including American Indian and Alaskan Native, Asian American, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth. Cyberbullying can be overt or covert bullying behaviors using digital technologies, including hardware such as computers and smartphones and software such as social media, instant messaging, texts, websites and other. Cyberbullying can happen at any time. It can be in public or in private and sometimes only known to the target and the person bullying.
Kids Involved in Bullying
Direct roles include kids who bully and kids who are bullied. Roles kids play when they witness bullying include kids who assist, kids who reinforce, outsiders, and kids who defend.

Each of us fall short in some way. We all make mistakes. No one is perfect. This is why we should never make fun, tease, or make people sad because of something they have no control of or a mistake they make.
Types of Bullying: Verbal Bullying
Here are four types of bullying. They are verbal, social, physical, and cyberbullying. Verbal bullying is saying or writing mean things. Verbal bullying includes name calling, insults, teasing, intimidation, homophobic or racist remarks, or verbal abuse.

Kids who are bullied are the targets of bullying behavior. Some factors put these children at more risk of being bullied, but not all children with these characteristics will be bullied. Sometimes, these children may need help learning how to respond to bullying.

Outsiders
Outsiders remain separate from the bullying situation. These kids often want to help, but don't know how. They neither reinforce the bullying behavior nor defend the child being bullied. Some may watch what is going on but do not provide feedback about the situation to show they are on anyone's side. Even so, providing an audience may encourage the bullying behavior.
