Enterprise Architecture

A comprehensive framework used to describe and manage an organization's business functions and systems.

Online Analytical Processing (OLAP)

A method of querying and reporting that takes data from standard relational databases, calculates and summarizes the data, and then stores the data in a special database called a data cube.

client/server architecture

A network design in which client computers use a centrally administered server to share data, data storage space, and devices.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Connects the company's ERP system to those of its customers. Enables capabilities to manage marketing, sales, and customer service.

Supplier Relationship Management

Contains functionality to enable the quotation and contracts processes. These systems act as extension to the procurement and material planning processes of ERP systems.

Financial Documents

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

software for managing the entire lifecycle of a product

Online Transaction Processing (OLTP)

the capture of transaction and event information using technology to (1) process the information according to defined business rules, (2) store the information, and (3) update existing information to reflect the new information
