(d) The cost for a year's operation is $5.89: -We know that 42.05 kWh of Energy is consumed in 1 year and the rate of each kWh is 15 cents. --> so (42.05 kWh)(14 cents) = 588.7 cents/kWh --> 588.7 cents/100 = $5.89 -->so the answer is: $5.89 is the cost for a years operation
