Older American Nutrition Program

purpose: improve the dietary intakes and nutrition status of participating olde adults. Type of assistance: congregate and home-deliver meals and other nutrition services. nutrition screening, assessment, education, and counseling to identify older adults' general and special nutrition needs. services are provides in senior centers, schools, and individual homes. meals mist contain in third of recommended intakes established by the food and nutrition board. eligibility: any adults older than 60 years of age, with an emphasize in a demographic with low-income minorities. disabled persons under the age of 60 or spouses.
