blind courtesy copy
a copy of a message sent without that recipient's name or email address appearing in the message header
courtesy copy
a copy of the message you send as a courtesy to someone other than the primary recipients in the To line.
mailbox
a folder on the server that corresponds to the user name portion of the email address
contact category
a list of contacts to which you can refer collectively by a single name and to whom you can easily address a single email

Subject line
contains a description of the message content

inbox folder

contains the text of the message

message list

asynchronous communication

synchronous communication

troll
refers to those who intentionally post inflammatory comments on a blog or article, in order to provoke a response
lurking
remaining quiet and not participating in the chat discussion at first

A destructive computer program that bores its way through a computer's files or through a computer's network.
attachment
A file that is sent with an e-mail message.
online survey technology
A service that allows you to send a survey using email.
emojis
A set of emoticon icons you can use.
To line
Contains one or more email addresses of the message's recipient or recipients
usenet network
Electronic bulletin board system.
chat
Facility that allows two or more people to exchange text or multimedia messages in real time, using either a special client or a web interface.
contacts folder
Folder used in email programs that contains a list of names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and other details about people with whom you communicate.
email marketing software
Helps organizations send email and track the success of a marketing campaign by keeping track of the number of users who read the email, how many times the recipients tapped or clicked a link in the email, and how many times the recipients purchased a product or enrolled in a service.
newsgroups
Online areas in which users have written discussions about a particular subject
spam-filtering services
Services that filter out and either block or move to the Spam folder messages that do not meet certain criteria, such as messages from senders whose addresses are not in the recipient's address book.
message header
