Can use Multiple work stations (computers) talk to one unit that stores information and data. Data is not saved to the C drive, but to a network drive. At HU the network drive has the M-Drive. It can retrieve the data stored in the network from any of the connected workstations.
Cloud Storage.
Cloud computing refers to the process of working with files and apps online. Create an account. Will have a username and a password. All content lives within the account in the cloud. To access content, log into any computer with Wi-Fi to find content. Cloud based means you don't need a program installed. Examples are gmail, Dropbox, Google sheets, google drive, etc.

Over time the cost of data storage has been going down, while the amount of data we Do store and can Store is going up. The cost has gone down from 3,000,000 bucks per gigabyte to .08 cents.
