Parfocal

Property of microscope which allows objectives to be changed without having to refocus Lens that stays in focus when magnification/focal length is changed

Depth of Field

The thickness of the plane that is clearly in focus

Total Magnification

equal to the power of the ocular lens multiplied by the power of the objective lens used ex: 10 (ocular lens) x 45 objective lens
