How to prevent distracted driving:
-Assess all potential in-vehicle distractions (trash, radio, etc.) -Develop a plan to reduce/eliminate distractions (i.e. alternative route if the main route is closed) -Expect distractions to occur and think how you would prevent those or adjust to them -Adjust vehicle controls before you drive -Familiarize yourself with vehicle controls
