Why does the Euthyphro dilemma pose problems for divine command theories?

Because the divine command theory is the view of morality in which what is right is what God commands, and what is wrong is what God forbids. Euthyphro dilemma suggests that the relationship between morality & religion might not be clear cut.

Why is this a dilemma?

If a thing is good because God says it it, then God could say anything was good & it would be (rape, murder). If God is only reporting goodness, then he is no longer the standard.
