Describe how the Old Testament prophets, hundreds of years before Christ's birth, have written details about His birth, life, and death?
Prophets in the Old Testament wrote many details about Jesus which were fulfilled in the New Testament. In Genesis, we learned that Jesus would come of a woman which Isaiah writes is a virgin. The birth would take place in Bethlehem according to Micah. Isaiah prophesighs the miracles of Christ including the healing of the men who were blind and lame. The story of Jesus' betrayal, crucifixion and resurrection is told through Zechariah, Psalmists and Malachi. The prophets knew the details of the birth of Christ hundreds of years before it occurred because they were inspired by the Holy Spirit. The trinity knew that Christ would be sent to save mankind hundreds of years before it occurred and it used the Holy Spirit to relate the details it knew would be later fulfilled to the prophets. We know that the Old Testament was inspired by God because of the fulfilled prophecies in the New Testament which is perhaps why the details were relayed to these prophets
