How and by whom was Alexander well trained to be a leader?
Aristotle, Philip II, and Achilles trained Alexander to be the man he was. Aristotle trained him about the logic of a leader. Philip II (his father) taught him how to be a king. Achilles inspired him to be a leader. He carried Homer's Iliad with him everywhere he went.

Why did Alexander decide to attack Persia?
He thought that a common enemy would unite the Greeks. Also, he decided to invade Persia because it was his father's dream. Alexander carried out the plan to invade Persia because his father was murdered before he could do so.
