Involves deciding what work will be done and how it will be accomplished. They identify methods of achieving goals and figuring out what resources they have to achieve the goals. They also set dates for completing projects and tasks on how to complete them. Planning lays out the ground work for everything else (all the other management functions).

Involves monitoring the work effort. These managers coordinate to make sure the company is achieving its goals effectively and manage the employee's performance to ensure the company is not being held back by its workers
Directing management function
Involves providing guidance to workers and projects. They set a direction for the business and motivate employees to accomplish the goals through hard work. This hard work is rewarded with bonuses, pay raises, and promotions if the managers think they are well deserved
Organizing management function
Involves setting up the way the business's work will be done. Managers review the plans they make and determine the jobs that need to be done. After that is complete, they group people into jobs and establish authority

It better identifies and satisfies customers needs . Better solves customer problems. Better answer customer questions. Provide customers with the best most up to date knowledge about the company's goods and services
