8th year

10000 Muslim soldiers. The Makkans lost and the city was captured. He forgave his former enemies and treated the people with generosity.

6th year

A treaty was made between Rasulullah (s.a.w.) and the Quraish. It was called the treaty of Hudaybiyyah.

He still had to fight the Hawazin tribe of Taif, who got defeated. A large amount of booty fell into the hands of the Muslims. The Prophet distributed the war booty among the new Muslims and set prisoners free. Most of the tribe hence accepted Islam.

10th year

Hijjatul- Wadaa. The first and last pilgrimage. He delivered the farewell sermon.

Rasulullah (s.a.w.) sent delegates to rulers to invite them to Islam. Some accepted. The treaty was violated.

Sa'd bin ar- Rabi' adopted 'Abdur Rahman bin A'wf (r.a.). He offered to share 1 of his 2 wives but Abdur Rahman refused. He only accepted a small loan to begin a business. He later became a prosperous merchant.

What happened in the 2nd year after Hijrah?

The battle of Badr?

4th year

The disbelievers had 10000 soldiers and marched on Madinah. The Muslims digged a trench. The disbelievers besieged Madinah for 4 weeks. Then Allah SWT sent a violent storm. They withdrew. It was the last aggression.

What happened in the 3rd year

The disbelievers marched out with an army of 3000 soldiers accompanined by Women. The battle of Uhud. 70 Muslims were killed. Hamzah (r.a.) passed away. They returned to Makkah.

What happened in Madinah before the arrival of Muhammad (s.a.w.)?

There were 2 Arab tribes and Jews. 'Aws and Khazraj had fought numerous battles. The Jews tried to exploit these situations.

What happened to the tribes after the arrival?

They became friends

What did he order the Muslims to do?

To respect other religions

How did he decide where to stay in Madinah?

Wherever the she-camel commanded by Allah SWT stopped
