One of Boston's finest lawyers and husband of Abigail Adams.

John Hancock

One of New England's richest merchants and rebel against the Townsend Acts. Was tried for illegally importing goods when he docked a ship filled with wine.

Captain Ebenzer Macintosh

Shoemaker, leader of the Boston's South End Gang, and Jane's friend. Twenty eight years-old.

Henry Knox

Twenty year-old book seller who is not gentry but is self-educated. Marries Lucy Flucker, who is highborn. Slightly sides with the patriots and is friends with both Jane and Rachel.

Mrs. Mercy Otis Warren

Wife of James Warren and sister of James Otis. Also one of the most well resected and well educated women in Boston. Wrote plays and read books.

Abigail Adams

Wife of John Adams and one of the most well educated and well respected women in Boston.
