Vertex-edge graph

A diagram consisting of a set of points(called vertices) along with segments or arcs (called edges) joining some of the points

Vertex (plural Vertices)

A point where two sides of a polygon meet. Also a point where edges of a vertex-edged graph meet

Edge

A segment or arc joining two vertices in a vertex-edge graph

Directed Edge graph

A vertex-edge graph in which all the edges are directed.

Color a Graph

Assign a color to each edge of a graph so that edges that share a vertex have different colors

Coloring the Edges

Degree of Vertex

The number of edges touching a vertex

Chromatic Number

the smallest number of colors needed to color all the vertices of a graph
