What is the shift in perspective of food?

Our perspective has change from food as a basic necessity to food for profit. -Have evolved from food gathering and preservation for personal survival to abundant and affordable food products.

Basic Processed

Product is still easily identifiable. Generally 1 step of preservation. Ex: Milk, freezing peas, dried fruit. Ex: Shelled almonds, bagged spinach.
