Origin: Ribs 3-5 Insertion: Coracoid Process of Scapula

Origin: Clavicular Head Sternocostal Head Abdominal Head Insertion: Lateral aspect of Intertubercular groove of Humerus

Flexion and Extension Horizontal Adduction and Internal Rotation

Medial Pectoral nerve innervates both

Assists with scap protraction and Downward rotation of Scapula

Pectoralis Minor when tight

Pulls on scapula (coracoid process) causing an anterior tilt - can be rectified by stretching and manual therapy to loosed muscle and train retraction of shoulders

Upward rotation of scapula (in synergy with trap) and Protraction
