Associates Occupational Study
A career degree in which all the courses relate directly to preparing students for specific careers. It differs from the A.A.S. degree program in that it does not require any liberal arts courses.
Bachelor's of Arts (BA)

Non-Matriculated
A student status designed to allow any interested individual to attend college credit courses without declaring a major or seeking a degree.
Residential
A student who lives on campus at a community college or four-year university.
Commuter
A students live at home and commute to their classes at a community college or four-year university.
Deposit
A sum payable as a first installment on the purchase of something or as a pledge for a contract, the balance being payable later.
SUNY
A system of public institutions of higher education in New York, United States. It is one of the largest comprehensive systems of universities, colleges, and community colleges in the United States
University
An educational institution designed for instruction, examination, or both, of students in many branches of advanced learning, conferring degrees in various faculties, and often embodying colleges and similar institutions.
College
An educational institution or a constituent part of one. A degree-awarding tertiary educational institution, a part of a collegiate or federal university, or an institution offering vocational education.
Budget
An estimate of income and expenditure for a set period of time.
Associates Degree
An undergraduate academic degree awarded by colleges and universities upon completion of a course of study intended to usually last two years.
Bachelor of Science (BS)
An undergraduate academic degree awarded for completed courses that generally last three to five years, or a person holding such a degree.
Educational Opportunity Program
The State University of New York provides access, academic support and financial aid to students who show promise for succeeding in college but who may not have otherwise been offered admission. Available primarily to full-time, matriculated students, the program supports students throughout their college careers within the University.

degrees are "career" programs which prepare students for employment.
CUNY
Public university system of New York City, and the largest urban university system in the United States.
Certificate Program
Enable students to master a narrow subject or topic and also offer professional training in a specific field. They are usually designed for adult students and people looking for short-term training with the goal of finding immediate employment.
Debit
Removal of funds by a bank or financial institution from a customer's account, typically as payment for services or goods.
