Sinus Rhythm Strip
Sinus Arrest
- SA node doesn't fire - notice absence of P-wave for a complete cycle. Irregular rhythm with greater than 10% variation in the P interval, a normal P wave for every QRS complex, and a consistent PR interval.
Sinus Bradycardia
<60 normal sinus rhythm. Normal upright P wave. 40 - 50 /minute. Ventricular rate of less than 60 beats per minute.
Sinus Tachycardia
>100 (100-150) normal sinus rhythm. Normal upright P wave in lead II preceding every QRS complex. Normal, indicating that conduction from the SA node through the ventricles is not disturbed.
Sinus Arrhythmia
A sinus rhythm in which the rate varies with respiration, causing an irregular rhythm. Irregular rhythm with greater than 10% variation in the P interval, a normal P wave for every QRS complex, and a consistent PR interval.
normal sinus rhythm
Heart rhythm originating in the sinoatrial node with a rate in patients at rest of 60 to 100 beats per minute. Regular PR interval. QRS duration is 0.06 to 0.10 seconds. Shortest and longest durations between successive P waves.
