You have added a new printer to the office. The printer is used by members of the Accounting department for printing forms and reports. The printer was not auto-detected, so you need to add the printer manually. The Print Server role service has been installed on CorpFiles16 already.

In this lab, your task is to create a new TCP/IP printer on CorpFiles16 using the following settings: IP address: 192.168.0.24 Driver: HP LaserJet P4015X PCL6 Printer name: AcctPrinter Share name: AcctPrinter Location: Building 1 (include a space) List the printer in Active Directory Configure printer permissions as follows: Remove Everyone to prevent everyone from using the printer Add the Accounting group and assign the Print permission Add the Mary Barnes user account and assign the Manage Documents permission

1. Install a new printer as follows:

a. From Hyper-V Manager, CORPSERVER. b. Maximize the window to view all virtual machines. c. Right-click CorpFiles16 and select Connect. d. From Server Manager, select Tools > Print Management. e. Expand Print Servers. f. Expand CorpFiles16 (local) g. Right-click Printers and select Add Printer. h. Make sure Add a TCP/IP or Web Services Printer by IP address or hostname is selected; then select Next. i. In the Host name or IP address field, enter the IP address; then select Next. j. Select Custom; then select Next. k. Make sure Install a new driver is selected; then click Next. l. Under Manufacturer, select HP. m. Under Printers, select the driver; then click Next. n. Enter the printer name. o. Make sure Share this printer is selected. p. Enter the share name. q. Enter the location; then click Next. r. Click Next. s. Click Finish.

2. List the printer in Active Directory as follows:

a. In the center pane, right-click the printer and select Properties. b. Select the Sharing tab. c. Select List in the directory. d. Select Apply.

3. Modify printer permissions as follows:

a. Select the Security tab. b. Under Group or user names, select Everyone. c. Select Remove. d. Select Add to assign permissions to a new user or group. e. Enter the name of the user or group and press Enter. f. Select the user or group you added. g. Select the appropriate permissions. h. Repeat steps 3d-3g for additional users and groups. i. Click OK.
