set boundaries

giving good results Example: We had a very productive meeting - I felt we solved lots of problems.

distraction

something that draws attention away Examples: We have work to do and it is important that there are no distractions. Listening to music can be a distraction from your work.

priorities

the goals, tasks, values, and activities that you judge to be more important than others Example: You have to decide what your priorities are. What is the most important thing for you to do?

pretend

to act as if something is true when it is not true (fingir) Example: I don't pretend to have all the answers. I sometimes pretend that I'm working hard.

burn out

to become extremely tired or sick by working hard for a long time Examples: People burn outt all the time working in this company.

Stay up late

to go to sleep after your usual bedtime Example: Sometimes when I get distracted by things at home, I have to stay up late to finish work.

commute

travel some distance between one's home and place of work on a regular basis. Examples: It's at least an hour's commute to work. The commute is not too bad - just over an hour.

work remotely

work from home Most of our employees work remotely (= from home, using email and the phone).

flexible hours

working hours that can be changed to suit someone Example: One of the biggest pros of remote work is that I have flexible hours.
