Many Americans supported Indian removal because they thought it would be good for them because they did not think the U.S would expand past the Mississippi River. Some thought that now the Indians could govern themselves and not be harassed, and I agree with it because it would save the Indians from being in a war, and they would be able to have control over themselves.
