Multiplicative Inverse

A number that, when multiplied by the given number, results in a product of 1.

Multiplicative Identity

An element that, when multiplied with another number, results in the number itself.

Commutative Property of Multiplication

The order in which we multiply numbers does not change the product.

Commutative Property of Addition

The order of the numbers being added does not affect the sum.

Additive Identity

The value that, when added to a number, results in the original number.

Additive Inverse

When added together with its additive inverse, the sum is zero.

Associative Property

When adding or multiplying numbers, the grouping does not matter.
