must know your individual responsibilities and cultivate your self-reliance and self-image

positions of authority, which means you will be accountable for those positions

reasons, motives, importance for action in the eyes of your team leaders and fellow cadets
what does accountability result in?
rewards for good performance, as well as punishment for poor performance

the legitimate power of a leader to direct individuals to take action

the obligation to act or to do a task that one must answer for, either to team members or to supervisors.
