Committee of Public Information (pg. 379)

Created by the federal government and headed by George Creel; also known as the CPI; responsible for spreading propaganda in the form of pamphlets, advertisements, movies, speeches, books, and songs for support of the war.

Encouraged by Hoover during WW1 and permitted citizens to grow their own vegetables as to leave more food for soldiers.
