Right Coronary Artery (RCA) DESCRIPTION:

Branches from the ascending aorta, just above the aortic valve, and encircles the heart in the coronary sulcus.

Circumflex artery DESCRIPTION:

Branches off the LCA, is located in the coronary sulcus.

Anterior interventricular artery DESCRIPTION:

Branches off the left coronary artery, is located in the anterior interventricular sulcus. This artery is clinically referred to as the left anterior descending artery (LAD).

Right marginal artery DESCRIPTION:

Branches off the right coronary artery and is located in the later portion of the right ventricle.

Posterior interventricular artery DESCRIPTION:

Branches off the right coronary artery and is located in the posterior interventricular sulcus.

The left coronary artery branches into what?

The anterior interventricular artery and the circumflex artery.

The anterior interventricular artery supplies what area?

The anterior portion of the interventricular septum, and the anterior walls of both ventricles.

Left coronary artery (LCA) DESCRIPTION:

Branches from the ascending aorta and passes posterior to the pulmonary trunk.

Posterior interventricular artery and the anterior interventricular artery.
