Compound

a substance made of two or more elements chemically combined in a set ratio -Examples: water (H2O), Copper sulfide (Cu2S), Carbon Dioxide (Co2)

Element

a substance that can not be broken down into any other substances by an chemical or physical means -Examples: Oxygen, Carbon, Hydrogen

Mixture

two or more substances that are together in the same place but their atoms are not chemically combined/bonded -Examples: sand, guacamole, and honey
