What is fainting?

A loss of consciousness that results from a tmerpoarily reduced supply of blood to the brain.

What could cause a person to faint?

Fatigue, heat stroke, extreme emotion, illness or disease.

What can cause you to die quicker? Low blood sugar or High blood sugar?

What are the symptoms of diabetic coma?

confusion, dizziness, weakness, dry mouth, weak, rapid pulse, nausea or vomiting, sweet-smelling breath, rapid deep breathing, dry flushed skin.

What are seizures?

convulsions, sudden severe uncontrollable contraction of muscles that causes the patient to become stiff.

What are the warning signs that a seizure is about to occur?

diizzniess, nauseousness,numbness slight headaches, upset stomach, tingling sensation, racing thoughts, strong emotions feeling of dejvu, blurry or dimmed vision, strange taste in the mouth, staring or "zoning out".

What are some signs that a person is about to faint?

dizziness, nausea, perpiration,pail clammy skin (also a part of shock) , tingling in hands feet and face, blurred vision or seeing spots, ringing in the ears, sensation that the room is spinning or moving.

What are the causes of a seizure?

elevated body temp, stroke, head injuries, and brain diseases and disorders, most notably epilepsy.

What is the main source of food for the cell?

glucose

What does the cell need to feed on?

glucose and insulin

high blood sugar

What does the pancreas produce?

insulin

low blood sugar

What is diabetes?

metabloic disorder that is caused by the bodys inability to produce any or enough insulin.

What should a patient that shows signs of fainting do?

should be directed to sitdown and head between your knees.

What can cause insulin shock to occur?

to much or to little glucose go into the cells
