The first 100 days are the first 100 days of the president's presidency. We use it to measure success of the new executive.
Backstory of the first 100 days:
The first 100 days was invented during the 20th century, once Franklin Roosevelt was elected in 1932. After winning the election and taking office, he created a plan for helping America recover from the Great Depression as soon as possible. He set a goal of 100 days and persuaded Congress to keep a legislative agenda that would keep track and help him achieve his goal. The result was there were 15 new major pieces of legislation that created the foundation of the New Deal and expanded the role of the federal government. Franklin Roosevelt had set the bar for all the upcoming presidents to follow.
