What is your greatest weakness?
Attention to detail. I love individual work. So my weakness is that its often more difficult for me to work in a team. My past jobs have helped me work on teamwork. I am also considering volunteering to get accustomed to working with others.
. How has your education prepared you for this role?
I definitely feel like all of my courses prepared me for this role, as I learned to prioritize assignments and due dates. More specifically though, my HC services classes allowed me to develop teamwork. Our most recent project involved doing a presentations. I have the transferable skills that have prepared me to work in this position.
Why should we hire you?
I don't know the other candidates capabilities but what I bring is my experience doing basic clerical duties and practicing confidentiality. I realize that accuracy is a challenge of HIT and my attention to details and appreciation for procedures make me confident to perform well. I also bring to this job the determination to see any task complete. I listen well and understand my role as a professional at AU Health. How do these qualifications fit your needs?
1. Tell me about yourself.
I'm a college senior at AU, studying Health Services (HC Administration). Found myself interested in Health Information Management So excited to start my career in it. I've had two major jobs in the past years . My most recent was at Augusta National. It gave me experience in computers in an office setting. I also learned how to practice confidentiality with protected health information. My position as a houseman @ Fairfield taught me teamwork and time management. All these skills make me confident in my ability to meet your needs.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
My goal right now is to find a position at a company where I can continue to grow and take on new challenges over time. Ultimately, Id like to hold both Certified Coding Associate (CCA)and Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credentials to take on a coding or management position. But most importantly, I want to work for an organization where I can start and build my career
What is your greatest strength?
When referring to technical skills, my greatest strength is Microsoft office including Word, powerpoint and excel. My attention to detail and commitment in all my work is my greatest strength. Whenever I turn in something, I ensure that its quality work and double check it. I like written procedures.
What are you interested in position?(Why do you want this job?)
a. AU Health is close to home for me. I've lived here for about 13 years (and have been seen by my pediatric cardiologist) and I'm glad to be part of that. The job description fits my abilities so I believe this position will allow me to shine and jumpstart my career

What are the main job duties of HIT?
a. Protect the security of medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained b. Scans paper documents into an electronic system to ensure accuracy and timeliness. c. Reviews each document to ensure that the patient name, medical record number, account number, form type and other applicable information is correct Processes documents so that they upload to the electronic health record e. Retrieve patient medical records for physicians, technicians, or other medical personnel f. Review records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations Release information to persons or agencies according to regulations;
