The FD-Q series flow sensor operates with using what

ULTRASONIC signals

Common issues with thermal flow sensors

pressure loss, extra maintenance, unstable readings

Common issues with mechanical flow sensors

pressure loss, maintenance, contamination

How exactly does the FDQ work?

sending ultrasonic signals back and forth from the transmitter and receiver

There is also different modes that you can select

so If you would like to select a specific time or a specific amount of flow before you would like the FD-q on you can do that.

No longer a need to keep process notes as

the fd-q can record all of these readings

Factors that can cause variations in flow

Could be anything from equipment malfunction to human error

There are two displays

Just your standard actual flow amount and condition monitoring to check and make sure things are running correctly and to proactively find problems.

The settings on the FD-Q are the following

Normally open/ Normally closed (NO/NC) NPN/PNP Flow Direction Response time

The FD-Q also utilizes the DSS FUNCTION. Why is this better>

So over time many flow sensors have issues with build up/ or rust over time. which makes the signals weaker. This can cause valuable time and money to be wasted to fix this issue. The DSS function on the FD-Q, recognizes the issues and automatically increases the power to restore back to normal.

The FD-Q utilizes the DELTA TOF METHOD...Why is this better?

So the basic method of ultrasonic sensors is kinda like this. There is a transmitter and there is a receiver. The transmitter sends a signal to the bottom of the pipe to the receiver. This method measures from 0 to the time it takes to get to the receiver. The problem with this method is that factors such temperature can effect the readings. Now, the TOF method takes the same method but just uses the receiver as a transmitter as well. SO, look at it this way. Im the quarter back and your the receiver. the ball is the ultrasonic signal and the wind is the flow...

If your mounting situation for the FD-Q is challenging or impossible to read we also have

The MU-N controller that essentially is the hub for all of the FD-q sensors. So this way you can quickly and easily read each FD-qs specific output.

If you have a warranty on any equipment. A change would void the warranty.

The fd-q sensor works great for this

Why are ultrasonic flow meters great when it comes to the product and its longevity?

The sensor does not come in contact with the liquid. So no cleaning or chance of contamination .

If you have any contracted equipment that can't be modified

They FD-q flow sensor works great

Explain the quick setting code

easily take settings from a previous sensor and copy and paste to the next sensor by just using an 8 digit code

how many screws are needed for the mounting bracket

four

How quickly can the FD-Q be set up?

in less then 60 seconds with just 6 screws and a screwdriver

clamp on sensors

installation time (60 seconds) sensor costs

Conventional flow sensors

installation time, sensor costs, extra part costs, pipe modification, machine downtime. A much lengthier process have a history of clogging, leaking, or becoming contaminated

If pipes are very close together the FD-q

is able to be attached with its slim design

What can the FD-Q series measure

liquid flow

With the FD-Q you can monitor liquid flow without

modifying the pipe

how many screws are need to secure the sensor

two

Why are ultrasonic process flow meters great when it comes to installing?

you don't have to shut down any process
