Short term goals are something that you plan on doing in the next few years, long term goals are something that requires lots of time and won't happen for a while. They're alike because you need short term goals to help you achieve your long term goals.

Balanced diet, exercise, healthy lifestyle, take a break form stressor, relax, focus on your past successes. All of these help me take my mind off of the stressor and calm me down. They're relaxing.
