A college placement test. The Accuplacer is a set of computerized tests that determines a students' skill level in math and/or English.
What type of equipment is needed to take the Accuplacer remote?
Access to a computer with a mic and camera. Remote instructions are located online. Within two business days you will be sent a testing voucher and instructions by Examity.

When should an applicant take the Accuplacer?
Typically done after application is completed. But if you are an adult (haven't been to school in a while) or don't know what program would suit you best you are welcome to take the exam before applying to a program, just to get a better idea of where to would excel.

Why should an applicant take the Accuplacer test?
The results of the assessment enable us to provide students with crucial early guidance in course placement/selection. Its used to determine your skills in sentence skills, writing, (essay) and arithmetic, elementary algebra, and college level math.
Can you take the Accuplacer Remotely?
Yes! An applicant can take the test either in-person, at NCC or remotely, from home.

Anyone in the admissions office who has kept up with the most current College Board certifications Carolyn - 2023 But mostly the library faculty, such as Stacy or Troy
