A SkillsUSA officer serves as an ambassador for the organization. What will you do to develop other chapters in SkillsUSA Ohio?

As a SkillsUSA officer, I would help chapters in Ohio work together by setting up programs where experienced chapters can help newer ones. By doing this, we can all become stronger together.

What skills sets will you bring to the table that will help you as a State officer?

As a State officer, my communication skills will help unite members by ensuring everyone feels heard and understood. My ability to collaborate will bring chapters together, fostering a sense of unity and strength within SkillsUSA Ohio.

In 2022, SkillsUSA Ohio's number of registered student members declined. As a regional officer, how would you address this issue?

As a state officer, I would implement outreach campaigns to highlight the benefits of SkillsUSA, emphasizing its role in fostering unity, personal growth, and career readiness. By collaborating with chapters and industry partners to showcase the inclusive and supportive community SkillsUSA provides, we can inspire more students to join and strengthen our membership numbers.

What part of the SkillsUSA Framework have you most improved on?

I have most improved on the teamwork aspect of the SkillsUSA Framework. By actively engaging with team members, fostering open communication, and embracing diverse perspectives, I've strengthened unity within our group.

If you could choose to be a follower or a leader, which would you choose and why?

I would choose to be a leader because it allows me to guide and inspire others towards a common purpose, fostering unity and collaboration among team members. By leading with empathy and inclusivity, I can help cultivate a cohesive community where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute towards shared goals.

Why is multicultural sensitivity and awareness important to what we do in SkillsUSA?

It is important to what we do in SkillsUSA because it allows us to have an open mind on everyone and everything in order to drive a more cohesive and strongly united organization.

What is your greatest weakness?

My greatest weakness is sometimes struggling with time management when faced with multiple tasks. However, by working collaboratively within a unified team, we can leverage each other's strengths and support one another to overcome challenges effectively.

What would you tell a bussiness partner who wants to donate to SkillsUSA?

SkillsUSA brings together people from all walks of life, regardless of their background or skill level, with the common goal of supporting career and technical education. They foster this sense of belonging and collaboration, which is so crucial in preparing the workforce of tomorrow. Your contribution would help fund scholarships, competition materials, and leadership development resources, all of which are essential in helping SkillsUSA continue their mission.

Teamwork, communication, and multicultural sensitivity and awareness

What is the SkillsUSA motto and how will you promote this if you are elected?

The SkillsUSA motto is "Preparing for leadership in the world of work." If elected, I will promote this motto by emphasizing the importance of leadership development, teamwork, and professional skills training in preparing members for success in their future careers. By fostering a sense of unity and collaboration among members, we can collectively strive towards achieving this motto and preparing ourselves to excel in the world of work.

This year's SkillsUSA theme is "No Limits" What does this mean to you and how will you implement this in your future as an officer?

The theme "No Limits" means embracing potential without boundaries, encouraging members to push beyond perceived limitations. As an officer, I'll inspire unity by fostering an inclusive environment where every member feels empowered to explore new opportunities and achieve their fullest potential together.

The SkillsUSA's mission is to empower its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens. Why is this important?

This mission is important because it emphasizes the collective empowerment of members to excel professionally, lead effectively, and contribute positively to society. By striving for excellence together and fostering a sense of responsibility towards our communities, we can unite as a stronger and more cohesive workforce.

What does SkillsUSA mean to you?

To me, SkillsUSA is more than just an organization, it is an opportunity for all to collaborate and work together toward a common goal.

Part of the SkillsUSA Program of Work is Public Relations. How will you teach others how to use this component of the Program of Work to strengthen their local chapter?

To strengthen local chapters, I'll teach members how to effectively use Public Relations by emphasizing the importance of highlighting their chapter's achievements and community involvement. By showcasing their successes together, we can unite as a stronger SkillsUSA community and attract more support for our shared goals.
