Community
A unified body of individuals, an interacting population of various people
Equity
Fairness, access to the same opportunities (We must first ensure equity before we can enjoy equality)
Media
Newspapers, television, radio, internet,and other forms of mass communication
Bias
Preconceived (idea) that sways the mind
Equality
Sameness, giving everyone the same thing (It only works if everyone starts from the same place)
Compromise
Settlement of differences by partial concessions from each side
Status
Social or professional rank, position of power within a group
Motivation
Something that causes a person to act - External and internal
Privilege
Special right or advantage, to grant favor or immunity
Ethnicity
The condition of being a member of an ethnic group
Harass
To annoy, attack, worry repeatedly
Stereotype
To make always the same, opinion formed without examination of the facts (or simply ignoring facts)
