Building code

A building code is a set of rules that specify the standards for constructed objects such as buildings and non building structures.

Blueprint

A design plan or other technical drawing.

Floor Plan

A drawing to scale, showing a view from above, of the relationships between rooms, spaces, traffic patterns, and other physical features at one level of a structure

Lot

A piece of land.

Clearance

Generally undertaken as part of enabling works, carried out to prepare a site for construction.

Perspective

Is a drawing angle from which an object or structure is viewed.

Elevation

It shows the sides of an object without any depth (or perspective). An elevation drawing flattens all of the faces into a single plane.

Roof Plan

Revision

an act of changing or revising.

Site

an area of land available for construction or the lot on which a building is constructed. A building sites maybe a single lot, a series of lots, or a subdivision. A lot is a piece of ground of specific size.

Section

drawings of an object as though they were cut in order to expose the interior construction.

Working Drawing

is a finished plan drawing containing complete information for the workmen.

Site Development Plan

refers to the position and the location of the building with property line, setbacks, approaches, grade contours, landscape and other pertinent data in relation to the site.
