A text in which the write develops and defends a position or debates a topic using logic and persuasion
Claim
An assertion, possition or arguable thesis about a topic or specific details or fact that supposrt an idea or issue
Circular logic/ reasoning
An aurgument that uses the idea to prove itself
Bias
a feeling about a subject that is full of emotion an lasks logic
faulty reasoning
a logically incorrect argument that is not supported by facts
Rhetorical device
a technique that a write uses to influence or persuade an audience
bandwagon appeal
a technique that appeals to the "Everyone is doing it" mentality
Countrargument
a viewpoint that opposes an author's thesis or claim
Reliable Source
adible or belivable source of imformation
logical fallacy
an incorrect argument based on bad information or reasoning
Evisence
specifi details or facts that support an idea
Credibility
the quality of having trustworthy and unbiased information
loaded language
words with strong emotional meanings
