How does RFID work?

RFID reader scanner - RFID tag. An RFID reader is an electronic device that can see the RFID tag attached to an item. see = eyes are called an aerial or antenna that sees electromagnetic energy in the RF part. The reader and tag need to have an agreed protocol to be able to UNDERSTAND each other. The information (question and reply) is carried by Radio Frequency (RF) electromagnetic energy.
