writing bibliography and outlining

a bibliography includes..

+ the authors' names + the titles of the works + the names and locations of the companies that published your copies of the sources + the dates your copies were published + the page numbers of your sources (if they are part of multi-source volumes)

APA Style

- Only the first word of a title and proper nouns are capitalized in books, magazines, journals, and article titles. - All author names are written in last-first order, e.g., Doe, J. - The first and middle names of authors are represented by initials only as F.M. for First Middle - If there is more than one author, names are separated by commas; an ampersand (&) precedes the final name, - Doe, J., Roe J., & Roe, R.

MLA Style

- Titles are in Italics e.g., The Diary of a Young Girl - The name of the main author is written in last-first order, e.g., Doe, John. Any subsequent names are written in first-last order, e.g., Doe, John and Jane Roe. - Whenever possible, the full first and middle names of authors are used. If only initials are available, it is acceptable to use them.
