Precluded by duties, safety, injury, carrying objects which cannot be transferred to the left hand, or other legitimate reason, in a "no salute" area, and OPTIONAL if in PT gear

Reflect the unique nature of our profession and guide significant aspects of our behavior. Mutual respect for one another and or civilian leadership.

Where to salute:
When in uniform both on and off base, and when formally reporting to a superior officer and during promotion ceremonies and decoration ceremonies
Excellence in All We Do
Develop a sustained passion for the continuous improvement and innovation that will propel the Air Force into a long-term, upward vector of accomplishment and performance
Who to salute:
the President, Vice President, Secretary of Defense, Service Secretaries, all superior commissioned and warrant officers, all Medal of Honor recipients, and superior officers of friendly nations.

Oath
Voluntarily taken by all Airmen. The belief and commitment is reaffirmed when reenlisting. it is consistent with and encompasses the values of Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do. Actions must be consistent with it.
