How does emotional intelligence help us with recruiting and hiring the best employees?
o The U.S. Air Force found that recruiters with high emotional intelligence were better able to recruit than those other recruiters with low emotional intelligence. This was because they projected positive emotions and could quickly sense and respond to recruits' concerns. Hiring high EI recruiters helped drop turnover from 25% to 2% and saved the Air Force money! o L'Oreal hired sales agents with high EI who had sales 91,000 dollars plus greater than their counterparts. Agents with high EI were 63% less likely to quit their job. They were better able to understand the needs of their customers.
