This Battle of Bunker Hill occurred in June 1775, when the Patriots put cannon's on Breed's Hill instead of Bunker Hill because it was closer to Boston. When the British troops advanced up the hill, Patriots could easily identify them by fancy uniform, and fired upon them causing them to retreat several times. The British eventually captured Bunker and Breed hill but lost many soldiers and officers so this was a costly victory for them because of the huge loss of lives.
