Monsoon winds

From Oct to Jan, the Northeast Monsoon winds blow over the Indian sub-continent. These winds are dry and bring no rain to countries like Bangladesh. From Jun to Sept, the Southwest Monsoon brings heavy rain to the Indian sub-continent as the winds pick up a lot of moisture as they blow over the Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal.

Rainfall
