The Nine Muses

Mythical account of how greek gods came into existence and the relationships and conflicts between them which led finally to a permanent divine monarchy under the rule of Zeus the supreme god and father of men and gods.

The Theogany

Old couple knew they were visited by gods when their meal continued to replenish itself. The son of Saturn said to follow him because they were going to destroy the city because of evil people. When they came back to their house it was a temple. The gods asked them what their request and they asked to be in charge of the temple and to die at the same time. The gods gave them both.

The story of Baucis and Philemon

Jupiter rapes nymph who becomes pregnant. She is ran out of the community of Diana. Saturnia knows and turns her into a bear. Her son Archas finds her 15 yrs later almost killing her when Jupiter restrains them and turns both son and mother into the constellations Big and Little Bear making Juno mad so she begins to complain at how she is now a goddess and blocks HER constellation.

The story of Callisto

Jupiter tells son Mercury to drive bulls toward the shore on Earth. Jupiter then disguises himself as one of the bulls. Gains princess' trust because she thinks he is a bull. Takes her far out into the sea, presumably to rape her.

The story of Europa

Jupiter rapes girl then turns her into a heifer to hide her from his wife Saturnia. Saturnia, still suspicious, claims heifer as a gift and puts her under the care of Argus. Inachus cries when he finds out. Jupiter, upset, sends his son Mercury to kill Argus by telling him a story to make him sleepy. When Saturnia founds out she tortures girl but with Jupiter's pleading releases her. Girl has son who wants to know his father so he sets out to find Jupiter.
