"Liberty may be endangered by the abuse of liberty, but also by the abuse of power."—James Madison In at least two paragraphs, discuss the meaning and how this quote supports or rejects one of the following principles-limited government, natural rights, or separation of powers.

In my opinion, the word "liberty" is feeling a sense of freedom and independence. If Liberty may be endangered by the abuse of liberty, our natural rights are at risk. Natural rights are rights that are given to us. Our rights can't be taken away from the government or anyone. These rights are given to us at birth. Liberty may be endangered by the abuse of power. If this was happening, then the separation of powers aren't doing their job. Separation of powers is supposed to limit and have equal power among the three branches of government. If one branch has more power than the other, there could be chaos. The principle of "Separation of Powers" will be rejected and our liberty will have been affected.
